Edition one is ready for download!

Our first edition was placed on the school network yesterday! After much work by the editing team, including a special edition for the departure of our principle, Ms. Sansom, we are ready to her your comments and find out what you think of our news bulletin!

It is really important to us that we get some feedback on our work, and we would really like to hear about what you liked, what you didn't like and any suggestions you have for future stories!

Comments can be added by clicking the comment button below!
This edition is currently only available in the school network, but we will be posting the news on iTunes next term, so that families can watch the news at home.

3-2-1-ACTION!

Today we started our first day of shooting for the first episode. The scripts were hard to remember and we had LOTS of takes. In the end we got a lot of good footage and we are looking forward to getting even more on Tuesday. We have lots of stories to film, but hopefully by the end of next week we will be ready to edit. Thanks to all the classes that let us come in today and take over their rooms for a while!

FPPNews is go!

Today we had our first production meeting, where we set out what we will be covering, gave jobs to our crew and planned the episode. You can see in the picture that we now have a running sheet that we need to complete before the episode goes to air. We have a bit over two weeks to do all this. The team will be working very hard indeed! Tomorrow we will write the scripts that we need for each story.

Mr Foale gets some training on iMovie!

I have just spent the weekend at a conference to help me better understand the movie editing software we are using. I suspect that I now know as much as Billy and Ben already know about iMovie!

FPPNews Auditions are complete!

Toady we have finished the auditions for newsreaders and reporters for FPPNews. There were more than FORTY students who auditioned for the positions, and we have had a very tough time choosing the best presenters!

We will be announcing our choices in the next week, and due to the large number of excellent auditions, there may also be opportunities for some extra reporters to gain experience on a part time basis. We are aiming for our first edition to be aired in week 10, so follow our progress here on the FPPS News Blog!
